Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council was the first Welsh Authority to introduce Decriminalised Parking Enforcement in Wales.
The Authority took over the enforcement of parking contraventions on the highway on 1st June 1999.
The Authority's Parking Services now manage the on and off street enforcement together with the Neath and Port Talbot town centres' pay and display car parks of some 2000 spaces.
At the present moment the Authority are unable to accept payments for penalty charge notices via the Internet. If you wish to pay your penalty charge notice then please contact Parking Services on 01639 892937.
There are two multi-story car parks within the County Borough, one situated in Neath town centre and the other in Port Talbot town centre.
The Authority also operate one long stay pay on exit car park on the periphery of the Neath town centre.
Currently, of the eight surface pay and display car parks within the County Borough, seven have the Safer Parking Award.
