Does where you live affect your health?

The Housing and Neighbourhoods and Health (HANAH) project is being carried out by Cardiff University and University of Wales, College of Medicine in partnership with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to find out how the homes and neighbourhoods in which people live affect their health. We need your help to make Neath Port Talbot County a healthier place to live.

'Safe Home' survey

The 'Safe Home' survey has been designed to identify the number of hazards that are present in peoples homes in an attempt to reduce the number of accidents that occur in the home. At the back of the form recommendations are made to put right any hazards that may be present in the home.

This survey is part of the Housing and Neighbourhoods and Health (HANAH) project being carried by Cardiff University and University of Wales, College of Medicine in Neath Port Talbot.

We are hoping you could use the survey to assess how hazardous your home is. It should take about 15 minutes to complete and it would be really beneficial to the study if you could you post your finished survey to:

Any information that you send will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be used for any purposes other than research within the HANAH study by the HANAH team.

'Assessing Satisfaction with Where People Live' questionnaire

The 'Assessing Satisfaction with Where People Live' questionnaire is part of the wider HANAH project being carried out in Neath Port Talbot. This project is being carried out with Cardiff University and University of Wales, College of Medicine and aims to find out how the homes and neighbourhoods in which people live affect their health. More information on the HANAH project is available on the website: www.hanahproject.com .

The questionnaire, which we would like you to complete, is a brief survey which aims to find out how a number of street based characteristics affect satisfaction with where people live and how important access to particular amenities is. It should only take 5 minutes to complete, although if you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact Nikki Weaver at Cardiff University on 029 20874755.
